Tweeting on social networking site X (Twitter), he wrote, “After much thought! I am compelled to write now, the costumes the designer made for the Indian contingent participating in the Paris Games were totally against expectations, which was a disappointment”.
He wrote, "Why didn't the designer use common sense that nowadays pre-draped sarees are worn, not all girls know how to wear a saree." Similarly, the saree blouses did not fit while the other color and print was completely opposite to the Indian representation. There was an opportunity for the designer to highlight our culture through embroidery or hand paint”.
