Washington: Due to the fog, more than 150 vehicles collided on the highways in America, as a result of which 7 people were killed and more than 25 were injured, while dozens of vehicles were damaged.
According to the World News Agency, the fog engulfed the highway in the southern US state of Louisiana. Due to reduced visibility, the vehicles collided and caught fire.
Police say a combination of fog and wildfires caused the fog to engulf Dera Jamalia on Interstate 55, about 30 miles (48 km) from New Orleans. In the accident, a vehicle fell from the bridge into the river.
The police further said that 25 people were injured and shifted to the hospital where their condition is said to be out of danger. More than 2 dozen vehicles were completely destroyed and more than 100 were slightly damaged.
